Just when you thought it was dead, it’s back like the Terminator. Is email still relevant in 2020? With an average ROI coming out to $38 for every $1 spent, it’s one of the best marketing channels for 2020.
But it’s evolved and requires new tools and multiple skill sets to make it work harder for your brand.
The following list of 28 email marketing resources will help your business increase deliverability, capture new contacts, generate leads, establish a connection with new clients and earn more revenue from your email marketing program.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Email Tools
Growbots – Growbots is an automated email system that helps identify your ideal business customer, puts them into a list and automatically deploys your emails to them. We use Growbots for our B2B lead generation program in wine, franchise sales and professional services. The list generation is where we find that it saves us the most time. The platform not only helps generate the leads you need to drive business growth, it also allows you to nurture large volume of leads. The system automates the entire process so you can do other mission critical activities.
Seamless – We use Seamless to supplement our B2B list generation. We have found that for account based selling, Seamless is a bit easier to get the right contacts.
Leadfuze – LeadFuze works a bit differently from Growbots by using AI to discover specific leads in particular roles and industries. We like this platform because it provides in-depth data such as contact numbers, social accounts, and more. Moreover, LeadFuze can help you build your list by crawling the web around the clock and tagging prospective clients that match your criteria.
Cold Email Platforms
Cold email platforms specialize in sending communication to contacts who are not yet in your email database. You do not want to send cold emails through the same email service provider(ESP) as you opted to enlist. Cold email platforms are specifically made to do this in a way that is CAN-SPAM compliant.
Mailshake – This is the platform that we use the most if we don’t have a client on Growbots or Leadfuze. It will send personalized cold emails at scale. It has more functionality that we don’t use, such as setting up tasks to engage with prospects via phone and social media, all in one sequence, on one dashboard.
Mail Click Convert – Bulk email marketing software that enables you to email purchased lists without any restrictions.
Email Service Providers (ESP)
Mailchimp – All-in-one marketing platform that helps manage and talk to clients, customers, and other interested parties. Focuses on healthy contact management practices, beautifully designed campaigns, and powerful data analysis. This is the ESP that we use and recommend the most. It works well with a wide range of needs and just about anyone with opposable thumbs can use it.
Campaign Monitor – We have many clients on Campaign Monitor who really love it. Template design is a bit trickier than Mailchimp, but designers love this. It also enables campaign optimization with the help of advanced analytics and detailed reports.
Bronto – Seamlessly integrates with virtually all ecommerce platforms, including ones you’ve built yourself, and other marketing technologies, so you can get a true single customer view. Lots of great functionality. Great deliverability.
Tower Data – API’s to help you to improve the quality and depth of your data by enabling you to quickly and securely verify email addresses and match demographics and behavioral data to your customer list in real-time.
Facebook Insights (log into your Business Manager) – Track user interaction on their Facebook Page. Facebook Insights can be seen by all the admins of your page and it can help you better understand the demographics of your consumers.
Google Analytics (log into your GA account, go to Audience) – Google Analytics lets you measure your email performance and get key demographic data on your website visitors. And it’s free! But it does need to be configured by a PRO so you can get the most out of it.
