Getting Started

Use this generator to create your own corporate guidelines, totally free and tailored to your brand. We have structured this tool so that it only asks the questions needed to be customized to your business - there are many more sections of a Google Business Profile, but we have written many of them using best practices, so you don't have to.

That said, this can still take some time to fully complete, so you may save your document and come back later to finish it simply by clicking "Save and Continue" at the bottom of the page. This will also auto-save your work, so you can rest assured that your work won't be lost.

Finally, bear in mind that the output from this generator is a Google Doc with your corporate policy written for you. Because it is a Google Doc, you will be able to edit it as much as you want. Add your branding, change fonts, go back and edit wording -- you can do that all in the Google Doc, so it is not critical that you get everything absolutely perfect in this generator.

Good luck and if you encounter problems, please contact us at support@angelsmith.net and we will do our best to help you!

We need this to send you your copy of the corporate policy document.
This should be the name of your company.

Business Categories

Choosing the correct Google Business Profile category is essential for ensuring your business appears in relevant local searches. For fitness centers, use the following recommendations:
Primary Category:
  • For general fitness companies, select "Gym" as the primary category.
  • For specialty fitness businesses, choose a category that matches your primary offering, such as "Pilates Studio," "Yoga Studio," or "Personal Trainer."
Additional Categories:

After setting the primary category, you can add up to 9 additional categories that align with your services (e.g., "Fitness Center," "Boot Camp," or "Martial Arts School"). However, avoid irrelevant or overly broad categories, as these can confuse users and weaken your local SEO.

Select your primary category. This is very important for SEO, so be sure to select the most specific description of your company.
You may choose up to 9 secondary categories. We recommend choosing as many as are relevant to your business.

Business Information

Write a description of your company that will be consistent for all locations. Keep the character count under 500 characters so that your franchisees can add a short paragraph to it that has local-specific information. Be sure to include important keywords in your description. We have provided an example to get you started -- update it to fit your brand.
Note: You do not need to provide instructions to the franchisee -- we'll add them in the document that gets output.

Contact Information

This should be instructions for what locations should use for their website. We suggest you provide your main corporate accounts for all franchisees, and if you allow franchisees to run their own accounts, allow them to override these values. Note that we include the seven social networks that Google currently supports. You should delete any you don't use.

More Information

This section includes predefined attributes you can select to represent your business. These options help customers understand more about your identity and values. Check the box next to any that apply to ALL your franchisees.
Do you offer online reservations?
Provide a URL that locations can use for their location.

Company Assets

In this section, you can define corporate-approved assets that will be included in the SOP for your locations. You will need to create the elements and upload them to your own servers, then paste the URL here.
Provide a URL where locations can download the approved logo for your company. It should be a 1:1 ratio, with the recommended dimensions being 720 x 720 pixels.
Provide a URL where locations can download the approved cover photo for your company. It should be a 16:9 ratio, with the recommended dimensions being 1024 x 576 pixels.
Provide a URL where locations can download approved photos to use. Remember that since this is a SOP for all franchises, these photos need to be generic (not location-specific). All the photos should be combined into a single .zip file. Any provided photos should be a 1:1 ratio, with the recommended dimensions being 720 x 720 pixels.

Services

We recommend that you add the services that you provide at your location. There is no fixed number and they are not required, but these can be very helpful with SEO.

Q&A

The Q&A section is an opportunity for you to anticipate your customers' questions and address them, making them more likely to convert. They are also helpful for SEO. We recommend starting with a minimum of 10 questions and answers. We have provided a selection of questions that we often see most asked, but feel free to replace them with ones that are more relevant to your business. Add your own answers. Leave both Question and Answer blank if you don't want to include them. You may add more than 10 in the SOP document after you have received it.
